Lisa Sand
Senior Food Scientist

Lisa Sand is a Senior Food Scientist at the NC Food Innovation Lab. Prior to joining the NCFIL team, she worked for various CPG (consumer packaged goods) Food companies, including ConAgra, General Mills, and Tone's Spice. She has also worked at Albertsons/SuperValu in their retail Private Label program, project managing the development of a wide variety of food categories. Lisa earned her B.S. in Food Science Technology and a Culinary degree from LeCordon Bleu, Minneapolis. She holds a Master's degree in Project Management from Concordia College, St. Paul.
Lisa has a passion for creating relevant and great tasting products for consumers. She's excited to be working within the rapidly growing plant-based product sector with an eye on sustainable agricultural products. She enjoys the challenge of learning new skills and will tap into her past experiences to problem solve and help create innovative products in her role at the NCFIL.
