Strategic Operations Specialist, NC Food Innovation Lab

DeDe Beaver, a Colorado native, moved to North Carolina in 2008 to begin what would become a rich, dedicated career at the North Carolina Research Campus, a journey that started just as the campus was opening and what ultimately brought her to the NC Food Innovation Lab as Strategic Operations Specialist. 

She manages a miriad of tasks that allow for efficiencies throughout the lab facility. These areas of responsibility include FSMA compliance, SOPs, SOWs, CDAs, invoicing and scheduling clients, market analysis, maintaining customer database, label design, project status and financials. 

Her career has afforded her the opportunity to explore dozens of industries, picking up a variety of skills which have provided her a career rich in diverse experiences including operations, human resources, and administration. DeDe is motivated by learning new things - often related to cooking and baking, gardening and chicken farming, going new places, meeting new people and taking lots of pictures along the way.
